59th Annual Grammy Awards
The world will be able to see great artists of all genres receive one of the highest honors for music later this week. The Grammy Awards will be celebrating its 59th annual celebration on February 12, 2017 for the world to see.
This year’s host will be James Corden of The Late Show with James Corden. The awards show will also be airing live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California starting at 5 pm PST/8pm EST on CBS. The awards will consist of its usual pre-show, award ceremony, and post-show.
This year many of your personal favorites will be performing, from Chance the Rapper to The Weeknd and Daft Punk. Adele and Katy Perry will perform new singles while Lady Gaga and rock legend Metallica plan to perform a duet together. King Beyoncé is schedule to perform, although her and husband Jay Z just announced they are pregnant with twins. The Grammys will be a night to remember if Beyoncé graces our presence with the Carter Twins!
Along with the scheduled performances, the nominees are the next exciting point of the night. We have a strong head to head challenge between Adele and Beyoncé; both artist are nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of Year. Chance the Rapper is also amongst some of the artist that has quite a few nom’s on file, from Best Rap Performance, Best New Artist, Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song. Let’s go Mr. Bennett!
Solange Knowles is nominated for Best R&B Performance for Cranes in the Sky. Bryson Tiller, Tory Lanez, and PARTYNEXTDOOR also are included in the nom’s for Grammys as well. Rihanna is set to receive some Grammys, with over 4 nominations for music from her Anti album. Finally, Drake might get that Grammy he spoke about on Views racking in over 5 nominations this year.
